Sketches of Martello Alley - Christmas 2020 (COVID-19) Edition

Window Shopping

Well, 2020 has been interesting, hasn't it? We hope that during all of this you and your loved ones have kept safe and well. As difficult as this has been for all of us, we realize that there has been some good with the bad. The outpouring of support for small business and for shopping local has never been stronger. Governments, business associations and individuals have come together to help small businesses survive through this pandemic. And on behalf of Martello Alley and Martello on Brock, we are truly grateful.

This is just a short update to share some promotions with you, as well as bring you up to date on what's new at our galleries. In this issue:

A message on behalf of the artists of Martello Alley
So much has happened since the last time we reached out to you. So to bring you up-to-date, here are just some of the things we have accomplished:

The interior of Martello Alley has been completely redone: there is a new, professional Stas wall mounting system, new lighting, new artwork as well as new pottery, soaps and beeswax candles, and a fresh coat of paint. We've added furniture to make the space look more cozy and natural, and we are in the process of implementing an interactive audiovisual experience in both stores that will inform shoppers of our COVID protocols while at the same time providing information about the galleries, art and artists. More details to come!

We published our first online Christmas Catalogue! It was a lot of work, but well worth it. Many thanks to the artists for there help, and especially to Lori Kallay who took on this project. You can see it online at https://www.flipsnack.com/martelloalleycatalogue/martello-alley-martello-on-brock-christmas-gift-guide.html

Once again, we really appreciate the support that you, our customers and our friends, have given us and hope that you will keep us in mind if you are looking for that special something for that special someone (maybe for you..?). After all, in spite of all of this chaos, life goes on, and people need some cheering up from time to time, right? Let us know how we can help!

And if you would like to know how you can continue to support our little artist collective, as well as other locally-owned businesses like ours, here is how you can do it without spending any money at all:

Invite your friends to like us on social media
Give us shout-outs and tag us and your friends
Share our posts, and this update

But most importantly, stay safe. Wear a mask. Wash your hands.Help flatten the curve. We want to be able to see you again when all of this is done and we can emerge from this funk!

Until next time!
