Newfoundland has had it share of hard times. This tiny abandoned house reflects the courage to endure life on The Rock. Woven fencing that once corralled livestock collapses under the strain of the elements. The bright and cheerful red paint that would lift the spirits during the long winter finally rests, having served its purpose.

It makes me curious to think of the family and their stories that filled this home and the anguish of leaving it behind.
