You may wonder why we have a windmill at Martello on Brock. Well, the store is supposed to be themed “Upper Canada meets shabby chic.” One day I was looking at things for sale online and I saw this windmill. It was yellow and green, so it seemed to fit the decor. And Ontario had lots of windmills dotting the rural landscape. Most of them are gone now.
