Martello Alley collectable coin (2019)

David Dossett

$20.00

A beautiful collectable coin issued by Martello Alley. This is the fifth coin issued, and it commemorates our fifth year in operation (2019). The obverse of the coin indicates the year of issue, and features our crest and our motto ""La créativité demande du courage" (Creativity takes courage), a quote by Henri Matisse. The reverse details the value "vingt dollars" (twenty dollars), our Website address and a portrayal of "Indian Summer", a painting of David's wife Wendy by artist and gallery founder David Dossett. Fun fact: Wendy is the one who came up with the name Martello Alley.

Martello Alley is a French-themed art gallery in downtown Kingston and it is open year-round. When you visit you will find an outdoor art alley, a beautiful courtyard and an interior gallery space. It is the only art alley in Ontario and features local art, gifts, furniture and decor lovingly created by local artists and crafters.

Martello on Brock is housed in a charming and historic Dickensian-styled building in downtown Kingston, just a block and a half (a five minute walk) from Martello Alley. Both galleries feature local art, gifts, furniture and decor lovingly created by local artists and crafters.

Get your collectible coin today! It is good as legal tender at face value at Martello Alley and Martello on Brock.
