Ukrainian Freedom print by Pat Shea.

I was inspired to paint ‘Ukrainian Freedom’ after seeing photos of gravesites that had become a field of Ukraine flags. To me the dominating presence of the flags represents Ukrainian freedom, Ukrainian patriotism and determination. There are three soldiers and a civilian preparing and planting flags to honor fallen compatriots. I painted ‘Ukrainian Freedom’ to support their struggle to push Putin’s war machine out of Ukraine. We have to help Ukraine to bloody Putin’s nose to the point that he will withdraw his forces. Ukrainians are not only fighting to keep their country free but also stopping any other ideas Putin might have of western expansion. Our soldiers fighting Putin someday somewhere else is real. Let’s supply the brave Ukrainian soldiers, assist families displaced so they can succeed in this fight.
All of Pat’s prints are giclee, printed on 100% cotton fiber mould-made papers that feature a beau texture, and at 256gsm or 310 (grams per square meter) have actually a quality feel. The paper is pH-neutral, acid free and lignin-free, with no optical brighteners (natural white paper only) and calcium carbonate as a filler.

The inks used are pigmented, making the print water resistant and archival.

This print measures 12” x 16”.
