I watched a humming bird land on a branch near the feeder. He sat very still which is unusual for humming birds. I looked to his left and saw this huge eastern rat snake about two inches away from him. I don't normally like to interfere with nature but I could not stand by. I pounded on the window to scare the hummer. He flew off, thankfully, and I ran to get my camera for the shot of this fabulous rat snake.
