13" x 15" acrylic on canvas
The relics of a technology gone by lay to waste on the side of a hill in Carbonear, Nfld.
Once the tool of the trade, these hand made wooden boats could need as many as 6 men to launch. As if being a fisher wasn't hard enough.
With the introduction of the Fibreglass boat, these old wooden boats were discarded.
They have been left to gracefully return to the earth.
