Atacama. I’m fascinated by the colours and patterns of rocks and minerals. Recently I was gifted a piece of Shattuckite, a vibrant blue and copper silica mined in Namibia. It’s referred to as the Stone of Truth. After having painted this piece, however, this landscape looked more to me like the plains of the Atacama than of Namibia, so Atacama stuck. That’s the truth.
