British Whig Standard Building is located at 300 King Street, Built in 1895 as the new home for the Whig Standard founded in 1834. The Whig was originally a weekly newspaper servicing the Kingston and Eastern Ontario. The building is now owned by the City of Kingston and used for administrative offices as well the main level is home to the KEG restaurant.
