“Echo Lake Point” - Original Oil on Canvas by Pat Shea.
Many of my works are inspired by our cottage on Echo Lake. It was here where I started ‘plein air’ painting.
After experiencing ‘plein air’ painting, I understood why The Group of Seven used 8 x 10 boards or canvas.
You can capture the idea, and the colour, and complete a scene this size in an hour or so. It’s a sophisticated eye that will see the paintings and really understand. It shows an appreciation for Impressionism heading toward a more abstract image.
