An adventure I had a few years ago led me to this photo. I loved the colours in it and wanted to paint it but when i looked through my bird book to figure it out it eluded me. I thought it was a warbler of some sort but still couldn't find it so I took to my birders on the internet for help. It is a female Common Yellowthroat. She was only a rustle in the brush when I first noticed her. I watched intently through my camera for quite a while until she finally showed herself to me. A lovely little bird, and a first for me.
