Moroccan Sands

This painting is acrylic on an unusual paper called Terraskin, made with ground limestone. It is virtually indestructible and ideal for maximum experimentation with mixed media. The smooth surface lets the paint play to its hearts content, while having enough bite to capture the pigments. The top layer of acrylic medium has created the effect of water reflections.
The colours in the painting take me back to a magical time in Morocco.
