Polar Night

Meg Muirhead

Polar Night

While painting this piece it reminded me of an overhead view of a polar map, Baffin Island, perhaps? Small rivulets of ice water heading out to sea. Could that be a whale?  Regardless, it’s cold, very cold.  The water is frigid and deep blue. . The landforms heavy with ice.
