Raccoon Family - A rare opportunity seeing this cute raccoon family all together in the daylight hours. Raccoons are nocturnal for the most part, I can only assume that there was some sort of danger in the wee hours of the night, so mom put her babies up in a tree till the morning light. I was having my morning coffee around six am. when I heard all this chatter in my neighbors yard, grabbed my camera and took a half dozen pictures before Mom had enough, and away they all went!!
