Small Lighthouse with Cormorants

Rosalyn Insley

$435.00

12 x 24 on gallery canvas, edges painted black The painting depicts a small lighthouse perched on a tiny, rugged island in the St. Lawrence River east of Kingston. The lighthouse, weathered and charming, stands resilient against the elements, its whitewashed walls contrasting vividly with the natural surroundings. The rocky island is surrounded shimmering blue waters. Cormorants, the island's primary inhabitants, add life and movement to the scene. Some perch on jagged rocks near the water's edge, their wings spread wide to dry in the sunlight. The artwork captures the peaceful coexistence of man and nature.
