The Swamp by Martha Stroud
During the covid lockdown, I walked along the Cataraqui River every day, and took a photo of a small swamp near Rideau and Montreal Streets. I amassed many photos and and used them to paint the swamp over the seasons, as the colours changed, and the beaver dam kept the water rising and the swamp expanding. Eventually there were 18 paintings - this is the 11th. Framed in a matte black floating frame.
