“Wine Glasses City Hall” - Original Oil on Canvas by Pat Shea.
This is a piece from Pat’s ongoing bartender series.  This is a view from one of Pat’s favourite pubs, The Tir Nan Og.
‘The Bartender’ series was inspired by Edouard Magnet’s ‘A Bar at the Folies-Bergere’, 1882 and BillyJoel’s song ‘The Piano Man.’
Pat’s interpretation of the song is an artist being inspired by the space they’re in. Every time he stepped into a bar that had a certain atmosphere, like Tom’s Place in Kingston, he thought of the song and creating art.

Painting drinks, especially those with ice cubes,  can be tricky.  Changing up the subject keeps Pat excited about painting.

Framed, 12” x 16”
