Red Bird #1, 12"x12", watercolour & collage on watercolour paper on canvas, by Carla Miedema. This painting started off in watercolurs and then i needed to add strips of painting paper, which translated the image of a tree to me. Well I thought I must add a red bird to complete the painting. I fixed the painting with fixative the stuck it on canvas.
