By Rebecca McKelvie
Painted from memory, this work captures the luminous colors of the Canadian Shield at golden hour. Rebecca McKelvie draws on a composite of remembered landscapes — the shimmer of reflected sunlight on water, the violet shadows on stone, and the deep greens of silhouetted pines. Rather than depicting a specific place, "Golden Hour" evokes the feeling of being immersed in nature’s fleeting light, where memory and imagination converge to celebrate color, rhythm, and reflection.
