Sunlit Granite Shores
Many lakes in the Canadian Shield region are peppered with picturesque islands, like those in Charleston Lake ON. They offer a unique settings for creative exploration on the canvas. This particular painting was inspired by an afternoon kayak and the mid-day sun lighting up the granite shoreline. I love the challenge of capturing the light and the reflections in the water.
