Blue Banded Green by Leith Channen
Kouchibouguac North Dune in New Brunswick, Canada. The thinly scattered trees give testimony to the long watch this narrow strip of land--along with its sister, Kouchibouguac South Dune--have served to safeguard the entrance to the Northumberland Strait. A band of golden sand, green grasses and trees sandwiched between the deep blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the Strait, the blues of the sky above and the waters' lapping. Original watercolour (9" x 12"), matted (8" x 10") and framed to (13" x 16").
