Downy Woodpecker on a Branch

Rosalyn Insley

Downy Woodpecker on a Branch by Rosalyn Insley

In this painting, a Downy Woodpecker, with it's distinctive red cap, clings to a late autumn branch, its monochrome plumage contrasting starkly with the muted, grey tones of the sky. The woodpecker's pristine white underside and signature black wings and cap are showcased against the backdrop of twigs and fading leaves.

12 x 12 gallery canvas, edges are painted black
